Squarespace told me to add an FAQ page to authenticate my website. Here it is. I don’t know what the below can tell you, other than I’m trying and I hope it all works out. Here’s a photo of me, Sabrina Monet, arriving in New York in November 2025, to watch Keanu Reeves at his Broadway debut. I saw Bill & Ted on stage that night and I came up with the title for my feature film debut, Ebb Point.
FAQs
What do you do?
1
I’m a librarian (MLIS pending) by day and a Jane of all trades the rest of the time. I post first drafts on Substack as proof of life and then I fine-tune those essays and post them to this website. I’m also in development on my first independent feature, Ebb Point.
Is there more than one Sabrina Monet?
2
I was born in the Bay Area when Joe Montana began his Superbowl winning streak. My first birthday was at Tingle’s in San Mateo, which was the 49er’s hangout spot. I don’t know about other writers with the same name, but I’m quite certain I’m the oldest and largest. I will stand out in the crowd because I’m probably the only one with that name that’s also a 5’11 Tongan American woman. I’m also the only filmmaker and writer with that name if you search for me.
What’s Ebb Point?
3
Ebb Point is my feature debut currently in development. It’s about an immortal Tongan woman that gets back to Tonga too late to recharge and she begins to fade. She meets a land developer, Tevita, on the island and during a week of conversations they learn more about themselves, and what it means to endure, and end.
